The Corrupt Practices Investigation Bureau (CPIB) will take no further action against Yong Han Keong, Eric, the managing director of Nam Lee Pressed Metal Industries.

According to the company’s statement dated Jan 8, Yong has informed the chairman of its nominating committee.

On Oct 31, 2025, Nam Lee said Yong was interviewed by the CPIB because of a whistleblowing report concerning allegations against him.

At the time, Nam Lee’s nominating committee said it believes the allegations were related to the same set raised in an earlier report received by the audit committee in FY2024.

Per the company’s FY2024 annual report, the earlier whistleblowing report “merited investigation” and the complaints were referred to the internal auditors for an independent audit investigation, who concluded that there was nothing to indicate the need for a more comprehensive or further investigation.

As at 1.56pm, shares in Nam Lee are trading 0.5 cents lower or 0.78% down at 64 cents.
