Shares in Sheng Siong narrowed its losses in the intraday trading session on Feb 12 after Prime Minister and Finance Minister Lawrence Wong announced $500 in Community Development Council (CDC) vouchers.

Sheng Siong’s share price hit an intra-day low of $2.67, down by as much as 6 cents, or 2.2% on Feb 12 morning, but recovered to trade at $2.72, down just 1 cent, or 0.37%, for the day.

Similar to previous rounds, half of the CDC vouchers can be used at participating supermarkets while the other half can be used at participating heartland merchants and hawkers.
