Han was sentenced to seven years’ imprisonment. Another 67 charges were taken into consideration.
Han was a former senior personal banker at United Overseas Bank between Aug 2014 and Dec 2015, and subsequently, a relationship manager at Oversea-Chinese Banking Corp between March 2016 and Jan 2017.Between February 2015 and April 2018, Han deceived seven customers into transferring $1.97 million to his own bank accounts. He did so by promoting fictitious fixed deposits and other investment products to these customers.
Han forged bank documents to give the impression that the transactions were genuine.
He used the money he cheated to give his brother and a former girlfriend, and to also repay other victims.

Under terms of the prohibition order, he will not be allowed to provide any financial advisory service. He will also not be allowed to be part of any financial firm’s management, act as a director, or become a substantial shareholder.
Han also can’t perform any regulated activity and take part in the management, act as a director, or become a substantial shareholder of any capital markets services firm.
