Victor Lee, CIMB's CEO of growth markets and CEO of CIMB Singapore, has resigned.

He has been placed on gardening leave with immediate effect.

Andrew Boey, CIMB Singapore's CFO, will assume the role of "officer-in-charge" of CIMB Singapore.

Novan Amirudin, CIMB's group CEO, will oversee the growth markets as acting CEO.

“Victor has been instrumental in transforming and institutionalising CIMB Singapore for continued sustainable success," says Novan.

He adds that CIMB has the strength and bench strength to continue with its growth plans.

Prior to his appointment at CIMB, Lee was with Fullerton Financial Holdings and other banks such as UOB, Standard Chartered and Citibank.

CIMB will announce the successors in due course.
