SINGAPORE (June 13): Singapore is getting a new licensed insurer for the very first time since 1970.

Singapore Life today announced that the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) has approved it as a fully licensed direct life insurer.

Singapore Life will initially focus on the High Net Worth (HNW) segment but will soon offer life insurance for all, which can be purchased online and through financial advisers.
