SINGAPORE (Dec 8): Noble Group on Friday announced it has agreed to sell Noble Americas South Bend Ethanol to Mercuria Investments US for a consideration of US$18 million ($24.3 million).

This comes after the debt-laden commodity trader said it was terminating an agreement signed two weeks ago to sell the same ethanol production unit to Zeeland Farm Services, Inc. However, Noble did not disclose the reason behind the termination of the sales pact.

Mercuria Investments is also the buyer for Noble's North American gas-and-power business.
