SINGAPORE (March 2): Cosco Corporation, under its Cosco Qidong subsidiary of the company’s 51%-owned Cosco Shipyard Group, has won a deal for the building of an offshore heavy lift vessel with crane capacity of 3,000 tonnes.

The contract price of the vessel, scheduled for delivery in the fourth quarter of 2019, will be kept confidential, as agreed by the European buyer and Cosco Qidong.

Cosco added in a statement on Wednesday that the deal is not expected to have a material impact on the net tangible assets and earnings per share of the company for the year ending December 31, 2017.
