ComfortDelGro acquires more taxi licenses, vehicles for $15 mil to expand business in Shenyang

SINGAPORE (Feb 5): ComfortDelGro Corp is spending RMB 71.6 million ($15.0 million) to acquire 217 taxi licences and vehicles from Shenyang Tian Wen Taxi Co. to expand its taxi business in Shenyang, China.

The acquisition will see ComfortDelGro’s taxi fleet grow to 1,503 taxis in Shenyang, the capital of China’s Liaoning Province.

In addition, the group is investing RMB 5.3 million in a new 2,200 sqm vehicle repair workshop in nearby Jilin City.
