Huttons has appointed Rex Tan as its chief agency officer. He will oversee agency development initiatives aimed at equipping agents with “future-ready” skills and tools.
Mark Yip, CEO of Huttons Group, says in a Jan 19 statement: “As chief agency officer, Rex will place a strong emphasis on AI adoption and digital training, rolling out structured programmes to help agents leverage technology for lead management, customer engagement and productivity. These initiatives are designed to enhance advisory standards while allowing agents to focus on higher-value client interactions.”
In addition, Tan will spearhead market education initiatives for agents and consumers. “These will elevate real estate literacy of clients and reinforce the advisory role of professionals.” reads Huttons’ statement.
“Technology should elevate professionalism, not dilute it,” says Tan. “By combining strong fundamentals with AI and structured systems, we enable our agents to serve clients at a much higher level while building long-term trust and sustainable careers.”
According to Yip, Tan established his team in 2010, which has since grown to 2,650 members.
Tan has achieved Huttons’ Top Executive Group District Director award every year since 2019.
