New York-listed hospitality chain Hilton has signed two new lifestyle hotels in China’s Jiangsu province as the hospitality group accelerates its expansion in China’s Yangtze River Delta region.
A Curio Collection property in Nanjing and a Tapestry Collection hotel in Wuxi are set to open in 2028.
The 232-room Curio Collection hotel, located in Qixia district’s Xianlin area, will mark the brand’s debut in Nanjing, adding it to its collection of over 200 hotels “in the world’s most sought-after destinations”. The property is designed to draw inspiration from the city's local culture and surroundings, catering to both leisure and business travellers.
In Wuxi, the Tapestry Collection hotel will be developed within an existing U-shaped building in Huishan New Town, converted into a 150-room property. It will mark the brand’s first entry into the Yangtze River Delta.
Nong Xia, Hilton’s president of development for Greater China and Mongolia, says lifestyle brands are “an important strategic pillar” for the group, adding that Jiangsu’s “deep cultural heritage and diverse tourism offerings” make it well-suited for experience-driven hospitality concepts.
He says that Hilton aims “to meet guests’ personalised needs and to create resilient, long-term value for owners”.

The two signings come as part of Hilton’s push towards its target of 250 luxury and lifestyle properties across Asia Pacific. Over the past year, the group has opened several flagship lifestyle projects in Greater China, including Canopy by Hilton Shanghai Belfry Plaza, Motto by Hilton Hong Kong Soho and The Reserve Hotel Luoyang, as well as the aforementioned Curio Collection by Hilton.
The new Nanjing and Wuxi hotels will also be joined by the upcoming Xi Zhe Wuxi, Curio Collection by Hilton, expected to debut in the region later this year.
