One block will be dedicated to AI enterprises with 14,500 sqm of event space and business park units to accommodate up to 70 companies, and the other block will offer more than 200 residential units. A pilot phase will begin in March, giving AI start-ups early access to collaborative workspaces, announced JTC Corporation on March 2.
“Kampong AI will be anchored within LaunchPad @ One-North, one of Southeast Asia’s densest and most dynamic start-up ecosystems. We intend to bring together a focused cluster of AI-driven enterprises under one roof, with dedicated infrastructure and live-work convenience that founders need to move fast, scale smart and attract world-class talent,” says Jacqueline Poh, CEO of JTC.
Building on Singapore’s start-up strengths
Singapore ranks 4th globally in StartupBlink’s 2025 index, behind the US, UK and Israel. The city-state is home to over 4,500 tech start-ups and more than 500 venture capital firms, according to JTC.

Since its launch in 2015, LaunchPad @ One-North has grown to span seven blocks, including Block 71 Ayer Rajah Crescent. The LaunchPad has housed over 2,400 start-ups, including unicorns Carousell, PatSnap and Nium, alongside 30 incubators, accelerators and venture capitals.
“LaunchPad @ One-North was instrumental to Carousell’s early journey. JTC’s vision for Kampong AI aligns perfectly with our focus on building world-class AI capabilities in Singapore,” says Marcus Tan, co-founder of Carousell and deputy chairman of the Action Community for Entrepreneurship (ACE).

JTC has unveiled a refreshed masterplan to position LaunchPad as “Asia’s flagship start-up destination”. Its masterplan comprises three pillars: enhanced infrastructure for industry clusters, facilitative policies for start-ups across all stages and new community-building programmes to catalyse collaboration.
The refreshed masterplan will also deliver new event spaces, sports facilities and expanded food and beverage options, alongside improved sheltered connectivity to MRT stations.
In addition, JTC says it will streamline administrative processes, facilitate market access and curate structured programmes for mentorship, hackathons and corporate-start-up partnerships.
LaunchPad @ Punggol Digital District
To augment its islandwide offering, JTC will establish LaunchPad @ Punggol Digital District (PDD) in phases from late 2026.
Embedded within Singapore’s smart and sustainable industrial district, PDD will house start-ups in fintech, robotics, cybersecurity and smart-city solutions. Its Open Digital Platform will enable lifelike simulations and real-world pilots, linking innovations directly to district infrastructure.
Singapore-based robotics start-up dConstruct Robotics is already exploring autonomous delivery applications in PDD, where robots can navigate buildings, clear security gantries and even take lifts to deliver parcels or food directly to users.
The first phase of JTC’s PDD opened eight towers of business park and mixed-use space across 12ha in early 2025. In addition, the Singapore Institute of Technology has opened a 9ha campus within PDD.
The remaining 29ha is reserved for “future expansion”, Nelson Liew, group director of new estates at JTC, told The Edge Singapore in late 2024.
