(Aug 10): China will offer Malaysia advanced rocket launchers and a radar system to be based on the southern tip of the Southeast Asian country, media reports have said, in a move that could raise security concerns for neighbouring Singapore.

The offer was to be made by a delegation of Chinese officials who visited Malaysia on Wednesday for the launch of a US$13 billion ($17.8 billion) rail project being built by China, news portal The Malaysian Insight reported, quoting an unidentified source.
