SINGAPORE (Sept 6): The operations of several Thai airlines have been suspended by the Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand (CAAT) due to failure to secure recertification under stricter Air Operators Certification (AOC) rules, according to recent reports from Thai media.

However, the number of airlines suspended remains unclear.

Based on an article published Wednesday by Bangkok-based travel news platform TTR Weekly, it was reported by news channel Thai PBS that 12 airlines have been suspended out of the 24 based in Thailand, while the online portal of newspaper publisher, The Nation, claimed there were 16.
