SINGAPORE (Jan 23): Singapore Changi Airport handled a record 62.2 million passenger movements for 2017, up 6% compared to the previous year with the December once again proving the busiest month of the year.

Based on the latest data announced by Changi Airport Group, landings and take-offs for 2017 grew 3.5% on-year to hit 373,200, while airfreight throughput also grew by 7.9% to cross the 2 million tonne mark for the first time at 2.13 million tonnes.

The busiest day of the year was on Dec 22, with 208,043 passengers passing through Changi’s terminals to mark another record for the airport.
