Allianz expands logistics business into Japan by investing with E-Shang Redwood

SINGAPORE (Sept 29): Allianz today announced that it has finalised a US$100 million ($136 million) investment into Redwood Japan Logistics Fund II (RJLF2), an E-Shang Redwood (ESR) managed fund.

Backed by Warbug Pincus, E-Shang Redwood is a specialised logistics real estate investment firm with projects across Asia as well as capital and funds management offices in Hong Kong and Singapore.

The fund’s strategy is to develop modern institutional-grade logistics and distribution properties in tier-1 locations in Japan. It will also provide an exit option upon the stabilisation of the assets.
