RHT Health Trust says report of buyout by Fortis ‘speculative’

SINGAPORE (March 28): Fortis Healthcare, the major shareholder RHT Health Trust, assured the trustee-manager that Bloomberg’s article that it was planning a buyout of the Singapore-listed trust, was “speculative”.

Fortis has also informed the trustee-manager of RHT Health that it continuously evaluates various restructuring options for all its assets and investments.

“In this regard, various options of acquisitions, mergers and de-mergers are evaluated from time to time by Fortis,” says RHT Health who had sought clarification with Fortis.
