(Aug 28): Shares in ComfortDelGro Corp received a strong boost after the company said on Aug 22 that it had signed an exclusive agreement with Uber to open talks on future collaboration.

This could involve Uber’s managing ComfortDelGro’s fleet of taxis on its app as well as the two companies’ working together on new fleet management and booking software solutions in Singapore.

Shares in ComfortDelGro closed 9% higher at $2.36 on Aug 23. They moderated the following day to end at $2.32.
