Rolex has launched a new docuseries, Reach for the Crown, offering an intimate, behind-the-scenes look at six Testimonees — athletes, artists and environmental advocates who represent the brand’s family.

Each episode, available on Rolex’s YouTube channel and website, follows one of these iconic figures as they share personal stories of ambition, setbacks and perseverance.

Featured in Reach for the Crown are American tennis star Coco Gauff, Mexican-Canadian conservation photographer Cristina Mittermeier, American golfers Tiger Woods and Scottie Scheffler, Chinese pianist Yuja Wang, and British sailor Hannah Mills.

The series chronicles their journeys, traversing their childhoods, career-defining moments, and even the difficult points in between. Personal reflections in exclusive interviews show how they have worked through trials and tribulations, while continuing to strive for the best along the way.

In showcasing Testimonees who exemplify perseverance and vision to push boundaries in their field, Reach for the Crown reinforces Rolex’s commitment to enduring quality and inspiration. Each episode underscores how these legends extend this legacy in their own lives, staying true to the brand’s focus on excellence.

Coco Gauff

Gauff is an American tennis champion who burst onto the scene as a teenager, winning her first Grand Slam title at just 19 years old, in the 2023 US Open. She has since clinched a second major singles title, with her win at the French Open in June. In Reach for the Crown, Gauff speaks on how she was inspired by her grandmother; she also opens up about the pressures of early success, managing a fast-rising career and staying grounded — both on and off the court.

Cristina Mittermeier

Born in Mexico, photographer and marine biologist Cristina Mittermeier — better known as Mitty — has devoted her career to ocean conservation. Recognised for her striking images, she is among the most influential voices in her field, with her work featured in publications such as National Geographic, TIME and O. In 2014, she co-founded the nonprofit SeaLegacy, continuing her efforts to use photography and storytelling to promote the protection of our seas. Mittermeier’s episode highlights how she sees the delicate beauty of nature and how she uses her craft to drive change.

Tiger Woods

With 15 major championship wins under his belt, Tiger Woods is one of golf’s most famous and decorated figures. The American turned professional in 1996 and quickly became a global icon, known for his dominance and mental strength. Even a 2021 car crash could not stop him, as he returned to tee off at the next year’s Masters Tournament. Reach for the Crown follows the recent stages of this legendary sportsman’s career, as he reflects on his lasting power in golf, persevering through injuries to stay on top, and his efforts to help bring up young talents in the game.

Scottie Scheffler

Currently first on the Official World Golf Ranking, Scottie Scheffler sits at the apex of the sport. The American golfer worked his way up from the amateur leagues before going professional in 2018. He went on to secure multiple PGA Tour victories and also won the Masters Tournament in 2022. Representing the US at the 2024 Olympic Games, he picked up a gold medal in the men’s individual golf event. In the series, Scheffler talks about his roots, zooming in on how his family and friends have been pivotal to his continued success.

Yuja Wang

Wang is a Chinese pianist celebrated for her technical precision, expressive playing and dynamic stage presence. Trained at the Curtis Institute of Music, she came to international attention in her early twenties and has since gone on to record several best-selling albums, picking up five Grammy nominations along the way, including a win in 2023 for The American Project with Teddy Abrams and the Louisville Orchestra. Reach for the Crown offers a rare behind-the-scenes look at her life and work, traversing her love for Chopin and the discipline involved in performing.

Hannah Mills

Having started sailing at the tender age of eight, Hannah Mills is the most successful female sailor in the history of the Olympic Games, picking up two gold medals in 2012 and 2016, as well as a silver medal in 2012. She’s also clinched three World Championship golds, on top of the World Sailor of the Year Award in 2021. Mills’ episode in the series follows her in Dubai, as she competes in the Rolex SailGP Championship; she also discusses how she’s paving the way for other women looking to make their mark in the sport.
