And just like that, we're already in full throttle through 2025. The first week of May has passed, and the buzz of election season is now behind us, but there's still loads in store for the rest of this month. And we're not just talking about the Lady Gaga concert, either.
Here's a quick roundup of what's to come in the next couple of weeks.
Maison Margiela Fragrances House of Memories
When: Now – May 18
Where: 265 Beach Road, Singapore 19954
We'll admit, we're massive fans of REPLICA by Maison Margiela Fragrances. From scents that almost exactly evoke cosy fireplaces to a day by the sea breeze, there's a range to suit all kinds of vibes and memories. So when we heard that there'd be a pop-up dedicated entirely to REPLICA, we were sold.

Anchoring the pop-up at Beach Road is the Afternoon Delight Café, inspired by — and named after — the newest addition to the collection. There'll also be masterclasses to attend, for those looking to work with their hands: On May 15 and 16, Hier Goods will run a wax sealing workshop.
Heartstrings – the Music of Anita Mui
See also: Step into the wizarding world with 'Harry Potter: Visions of Magic' at Resorts World Sentosa
When: May 25, 7pm
Where: Victoria Concert Hall, 11 Empress Place, Singapore 179558
Making his Singapore debut is Taiwanese cellist Yoyo Wu Deng Kai, who will perform a concert dedicated to Anita Mui, the late Hong Kong actress and singer who had a string of hits in the 1980s and 1990s (many of which are still oft-heard today). The Canto-pop legend's music will be interpreted by Wu for the cello; songs on the set list include Mui's first hit, 心债 (Debt of the heart), to her 1984 movie soundtrack classic 似水流年 (The years flow like water).
Wu may share his name with a household name — fellow cellist Yo-Yo Ma has picked up 19 Grammy awards across over 90 albums — but he holds his own as a performer, with a growing audience in the online sphere. He's also collaborated with artists such as A-Mei and Jiang Hui.
