Design innovation and sustainability featured in this year’s winners at Singapore Furniture Industries Sol Awards

A non-profit organisation for the last 47 years, the Singapore Furniture Industries Council (SFIC) has served as the official representative body of Singapore’s furniture and furnishings industry. As a champion of innovation, design excellence and sustainability, it recognises the talents of its members through the Singapore Furniture Industry Awards, which has been held thrice in the past decade. 

This year, as the Awards gears up to embrace Singapore’s new crop of industry stalwarts, so does its name, which is now known as the Sol Awards. With the word “Sol” representing the sun in several languages — the ultimate source of light and energy — the Sol Awards embodies the essence of brilliance and vitality and highlights inspirational companies and individuals.

The name is also selected for its global appeal, honouring achievements that surpass cultural barriers and highlighting the Awards’ potential for regional expansion.
