Wearnes Automotive to become the exclusive distributor of NIO vehicles in Singapore

The strategic partnership between Wearnes Automotive and NIO brings together two companies that share a common commitment to innovation, long-term brand building and delivering premium customer experiences.

Wearnes Automotive will commence the Singapore retail operations and aftersales support in the first quarter of 2026.

The multi-franchise distributorship will also evaluate NIO's battery-swap technology and the NIO House concept (pictured above), which have a potential to further enrich the ownership experience.

Singapore will be the first market in Southeast Asia to welcome the Firefly lifestyle hatch, NIO’s first right-hand drive model, marking the beginning of a broader portfolio rollout in the coming years.

“While many EV brands have entered markets hoping that things will simply fall into place, NIO’s approach is fundamentally different,” said Mr. Andre Roy, CEO of Wearnes Automotive. “They are methodical, long-term oriented and focused on doing things the right way – from the product to the infrastructure, to the entire ownership journey. With the right-hand drive models now made available, we are pleased to embark on this new chapter as NIO debuts in Singapore.”
