Following our preview feature from last week, here’s the afterglow in the wake of the 2026 Singapore Motorshow

Some cars positively shine in the flesh, especially when their photographs don’t do them justice.

In fact, there is nothing quite like getting up close and personal with them amidst the buzz of the thronging crowds and under the dazzle of the lights at this year’s Singapore Motorshow, which spanned 21,000 sqm across four levels and featured over 200 vehicles on display.

Firefly by Nio

The Nio Firefly made its global right-hand-drive debut at the show and is a fresh addition to the Wearnes Automotive portfolio. Despite its compact proportions, the all-electric Firefly combines expressive styling with efficient use of space (which belies its size) and a confident driving experience to help one thread their way through the CBD.

GWM ORA 5

We have always found Ora’s playful mix of retro-futuristic design to be quite charming, especially since it is well differentiated from the many homogeneous competitors. The compact EV wears just enough rugged design elements to present itself as a formidable and funky contender with which to conquer our urban jungle.

Hongqi E-HS9

The E-HS9 is the brand’s flagship all-electric full-size luxury SUV, which was presented alongside the uber-luxe Guoya and Guoli.

“Hongqi’s debut in Singapore marks an important milestone for the brand, for luxury automotive enthusiasts in the region, and for Eurokars Group. We’re deeply honoured to be representing Hongqi in Singapore,” says Karsono Kwee, executive chairman of the Eurokars Group. “Hongqi embodies the essence of Eastern Luxury, where every detail is crafted to elevate the driving experience. Beyond performance, it is a statement of presence, refinement, and visionary design.”

Mazda 6e

The all-new Mazda 6e heralds the brand’s next chapter in electrification. As Mazda’s first all-electric fastback, it is set to launch in Singapore in July. The Mazda 6e is a stylish fusion of advanced technology, Japanese craftsmanship and human-centric design.

“This year marks Mazda’s segue into a new and electrified era, and we’re excited to accelerate this journey with the launch of the Mazda 6e,” says Chong Kah Wei, managing director of Trans Eurokars Mazda. “The Mazda 6e fastback reflects our refreshed brand vision and pivots Mazda towards a more electrified and sustainable future, while preserving the design-led and driver-focused philosophies our customers value.”

MINI Cooper x Deus Ex Machina

MINI and Deus Ex Machina collaborate to bring to life the brand’s storied racing history from the legendary Nürburgring 24-hour race with the MINI Cooper in exclusively designed livery.

“For last year's 24-hour race at the Nürburgring, we combined the high-performance MINI John Cooper Works with the passion and craftsmanship of Deus Ex Machina,” says Daren Ching, head of MINI Asia. “We wanted to bring this partnership to life in Singapore and remind MINI fans of our racing heritage and motorsport history.”

Nissan Fairlady Z

In addition to Nissan’s portfolio of practical e-Power models, the local distributor also showcased the evocative Fairlady Z coupe, which created a nice bit of buzz. A nameplate traced back 60 years, this seventh-generation Z coupe follows the same dynamic formula as its predecessors’ front-engine, rear-wheel-drive layout, which should endow it with the familiar driving thrills we have come to associate with the Z.
