If the kitchen is the heart of the home, then the appliances inside it must be the pacemakers that keep things trucking along.
After all, a functional kitchen sets the rhythm of things: whether dinner is ready on time, or if drinks flow as they should during parties. This is particularly so for larger families and those who host on the regular.

Enter the 480L 2-Door Frost Free Top Mount Freezer Fridge (MMFT450MG) by kitchen appliance specialist Mayer. This new model, unveiled as part of an extension to the brand’s FrostLine series, is well-sized for families, while its sleek exterior means it eschews the excess of bulkier formats for something that will sit perfectly well in kitchens of all sorts.
In terms of features, the MMFT450MG has a top-mounted freezer of 110 litres, with the remaining 370 litres of space dedicated to the fridge compartment.
Inside, Mayer’s Dual Tech Inverter cooling system provides efficient cooling, with dynamic adjustments that lead to less noise when things are running, as well as reduced power consumption. A dedicated “Fresh Zone” for fruits and vegetables has been engineered to have higher humidity levels, slowing wilting and keeping produce fresh for longer.
The MMFT450MG also ensures uniform temperature distribution across all compartments, furthering its power efficiency. The model has a three-tick energy rating.
No-frost technology, meanwhile, automatically defrosts ice buildup, making maintenance easier. There’s also a built-in anti-bacterial and odour filter, which neutralises smells and inhibits bacterial growth.
