Leading business and investment weekly, The Edge Singapore (TES), has launched HAVEN, a brand new title showcasing the best in interior design and architecture.
Launched on Nov 30, HAVEN’s inaugural issue features 64 pages of interviews with some of the most prominent names in the industry, beautiful homes, stunning architecture, and many more.
On the cover of the magazine is the home of Terry Smagh, Senior Vice President (Asia-Pacific & Japan) of BlackLine, whose home is a beautiful expression of his travels, his family, and his love for entertaining friends and family.
With a starkly industrial design, this 2,300 sq/ft home (with a built-up area of 5,500 sq/ft) is a monolith of concrete and steel, but still exudes warmth– whether it’s the circular concrete ‘bar’ that forms the centrepiece of his living space, or the cosy nooks and corners filled with natural lighting and greenery.
Home decor ideas abound within the pages of HAVEN, helping readers turn their homes not into offices, but into productive spaces where life and work can happen in a happy and harmonious balance.
For this, readers will hear from some of the most brilliant and prominent minds in design. Among them is Ong Tze Boon, of multi-disciplinary design firm, Ong&Ong, who talks about continuing in the legacy of his father – Ong Teng Cheong, founder of the firm and former President of Singapore– and also finding his own path at the same time.

In HAVEN, readers will hear from Fiona Nixon, director of Studio NVS, and Priscilla Ong Shanmugam, owner of homeware brand Suvarnabumi.
Nixon, whose illustrious career spans some of Singapore’s pre-eminent design firms (including Kerry Hill Architects), tells us about the future of hospitality design; while Ong Shanmugam talks about the perfect intersection between fashion and furniture design.
In addition, HAVEN also showcases some of the most beautiful and luxurious homes in the city, where living the high life is not just an expression, but a reality– readers will get an intimate look at ultra-luxurious condominiums like the Marina One Residences, V on Shenton, South Beach Residences, 8 St Thomas and Wallich Residence.
