Hong Seh Evolution launches the SRM T3EV electric lorry at the opening of its Shineray Motors showroom in Singapore
Singapore - Hong Seh EVolution – a subsidiary of the Hong Seh Group – is one of the pioneers in the electric vehicle segment in Singapore, notably, electric commercial vehicles and currently counts Farizon, DFSK, LEVC and now Shineray Motors within its portfolio of brands.
It used the occasion of the Shineray Motors' showroom opening to launch the all-electric SRM T3EV lorry, which we're told has been engineered specifically to tackle the Toyota Dyna in Singapore.
Priced at $68,800 before COE and government rebates, the 10-footer SRM T3EV is the first vehicle by the company to be launched in South-East Asia.
Apart from a 5.2 square-metre deck area and 1.6-tonne (or 14pax) payload, the electric lorry is powered by a 53.58kWh battery and returns a range of 300km on a full charge.

It is versatile enough to be outfitted in a variety of configurations, including a refrigerated box should the need arise. The cabin is comfortably appointed for a commercial vehicle, with front/rear dash-cams, a multimedia ICE head-unit and dual SRS air-bags.
Mr. Edward Tan (pictured above), Executive Director of the Hong Seh Group says, “At Hong Seh Group, we always seek out and partner relevant brands that will value add to the local environment and are in line with our cause. This opens the door to opportunities in the heavy vehicle segment such as with small and large passenger buses and even with certain ESG relevant products.”

He also adds that Hong Seh EVolution is looking for good partners from Thailand, Malaysia, Australia, Indonesia and New Zealand with the same ethos in getting the green revolution going for electrified commercial vehicles and public transport vehicles.
We also understand that Hong Seh EVolution is close to confirming deals with several fleet operators in Singapore for the SRM T3EV, with especially strong interest from the furniture industry, with almost one-third of the 300 available units spoken for.
“The Singapore market plays a pivotal role in Shineray Motors expansion strategy as we are aware of the country’s growing demand for electric commercial vehicle products. We look forward to working with Hong Seh Group in expanding our commercial vehicle product line in Singapore and beyond,” said Mr. Wang Chang Fan from Shineray Motors.
