SINGAPORE (Jun 3): At the premiere of Godzilla: King of the Monsters in Los Angeles on May 18, actress Zhang Ziyi wore a pair of exquisite Chopard earrings from the Copacabana Collection. The design incorporates 87.12 carats of drop-shaped blue chalcedony, 206.6 carats of blue sapphire briolettes, 3.22 carats of pear-shaped violet sapphires, and 0.99 carat of diamonds set in 18k white gold.
At the Cannes International Film Festival on May 22, Caroline Scheufele, co-president and artistic director of Chopard, announced that Zhang had been appointed global ambassador of Chopard. The Chinese actress celebrates the 20th anniversary of her career this year. Many will remember Zhang in movies such as Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, Memoirs of a Geisha and Purple Butterfly.

Measuring 40mm in diameter and water-resistant to 30m, the timepiece features an antireflective sapphire crystal protecting a deep blue dial, punctuated by slender white-gold hour markers.
