Trek 2000 International surged by more than a quarter after it announced that it expects revenue of more than US$15 million through FY2027 after it signed a deal with software firm Aboard AI Inc to co-develop an AI-powered solution to improve maintenance and flight safety mainly aimed at the North American market.
For context, the company's most recent 1HFY2025 revenue was US$9.6 million.
Under the agreement, Trek will provide its wireless memory technologies, which leverage NAND and Dram systems for data-intensive processing and secure transmission, with Aboard AI’s proprietary artificial intelligence algorithms to compute and analyse real-time flight data.
According to Trek, by working with Aboard AI, the two partners can bridge the gap of underutilised data and effectively analyse vast volumes of in-flight data.
To further strengthen operational efficiency, the system can be integrated with multiple platforms, including maintenance and debriefing tools, to facilitate data analysis and unlock untapped value within the aviation ecosystem.
Citing Verified Market Research, Trek says the global aviation software market is projected to reach US$18.6 billion by 2030, which is a CAGR of 6.9%. Growth is underpinned by a surge in pilot training, increased business travel, and rising private aircraft ownership, which is creating strong demand for data-driven flight-safety innovations.
“This partnership marks a milestone forward for Trek as we extend our proprietary technologies into the aviation technology space, which is poised for continued growth driven by increased demand for real-time data analytics and AI-powered solutions," says Wayne Tan, executive chairman and group president of Trek 2000 International.
"Our patented wireless memory technologies provide the foundation for high-performance, data-intensive applications, and this collaboration with Aboard AI demonstrates our capabilities to address safety-critical challenges in new industries," he adds.
Trek 2000 shares, as at 1.56 pm, changed hands at 12 cents, up 26.32%.
