Shares in Oversea-Chinese Banking Corporation (OCBC) continued to rise on Nov 11, gaining 24 cents, or 1.32%, above Nov 10’s record-high close price of $18.19.
OCBC shares reached $18.43 at 9.44am on Nov 11, marking a new intra-day high. OCBC shares have gained some 9% over the past week.
The bank announced on Nov 7 group net profit of $1.98 billion for 3QFY2025 ended Sept 30, 0.2% higher y-o-y.
Shares in peer bank DBS Group Holdings reached a record intra-day high of $55.59 on Nov 7, a day after it posted record pre-tax profit of $3.48 billion, up 1% y-o-y, and declared a total payout of 75 cents per share for the quarter.
DBS shares retreated over Nov 10, but gained some $1.80, or 3.4%, to $55 at 9.35am on Nov 11.
United Overseas Bank (UOB), meanwhile, snapped a two-session decline since Nov 7 to rebound some 37 cents, or 1.1%, to $34.05 at 9.35am on Nov 11. UOB’s third-quarter net profit of $443 million was down 67% q-o-q and 72% y-o-y, owing to large provisions for commercial real estate.
